Judith Anne Heban of Rossford, Ohio, entered Heaven’s gates on January 4, 2022, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. She was born on January 12, 1940, in Toledo, to Walter and Emelia (Hodur) Kwapich. She was a 1958 graduate of DeVilbiss High School. She married the love of her life, Norbert A. Heban Jr., on November 22, 1958, and spent 63 years as his “Doll.”

Rita Darlene Krajicek, 81, of Port Charlotte, Florida, passed away on December 25, 2021. She was born October 23, 1940, to Emile and Ardith (Roberts) Mathis, of Rossford. She married Andrew Krajicek Jr., in Rossford, and he survives.

George “Bob” Herroon, age 81, of Stony Ridge, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo. He was born on February 5, 1940, in Toledo, to George E. and Martha (Coughlin) Herroon. In 1992 he met the love of his life, Jacqueline Warns. Together, Bob and Jackie merged their families and shared 30 years of their lives together.

Julia Catherine Rattigan, age 90, of Rossford, passed away on Friday, January 7, 2022, in Toledo. She was born on October 27, 1931, to Andrew and Anna Seman in Rossford.

Rita Darlene Krajicek, 81, of Port Charlotte, Florida, passed away on December 25, 2021. She was born October 29, 1940, to Emile and Ardith (Roberts) Mathis, of Rossford. She married Andrew Krajicek Jr., in Rossford, and he survives.

Joseph Shufritz, age 87, of Rossford, passed away Thursday, December 23, 2021, in Hospice of Northwest Ohio inpatient unit, Perrysburg, after a brief illness. He was born September 15, 1934, in Rossford, to Peter and Mary (Lisik) Shufritz. Joe was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Panama. After being honorably discharged, he went to work at the former Libbey-Owens- Ford Glass Company, retiring in 1996. A proud supporter of Rossford athletics, he enjoyed going to all their different sporting events. He was a big fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes, and the Cleveland Browns and Indians. He also enjoyed gardening, tending to his flowers and socializing with his many friends.

Norbert Anthony Heban Jr., of Rossford, Ohio, made a peaceful journey to heaven on December 22, 2021, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. He was born on May 2, 1933, in Rossford, to Mary Louise (Jursa) and Norbert A. Heban Sr. He married the love of his life, Judith Anne Kwapich, and spent 63 years holding hands and sharing life with his “Doll.”

Robin Lee Hoffer, age 53, passed away peacefully after a brief illness at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg, with his wife by his side. He was born to Robert and Judy (Cunningham) Hoffer on March 14, 1968.

Carolyn Susan Kawecka, of Bowling Green, passed away on December 1, surrounded by family. She was born August 28, 1958, in Toledo, to John and Joy King. She is survived by her husband, Joseph DeMare; her sons, Anthony and Joseph DeMare; her brothers, David Sabini, Mike King, Mark King; numerous nieces and nephews, and her father. Preceding her in death were her mother and her sister, Cathy Robinette.

JoAnn Buehrle Colapietro, 69, of Rossford, died November 18, 2021, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. She was born April 7, 1952, in Toledo, to Franklin Thomas and Hattie (Mierzejewski) Buehrle. JoAnn married her love, John Colapietro, in 2004 after a seven-year courtship and together they cherished 24 years together.
