Virginia Mae Shelt, 93, of Rossford, passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at Kingston in Perrysburg. She was born in Toledo, on February 2, 1931, to Carl and Christina (Venclik) Wohlmuth.

Virginia graduated from Waite High School in 1949. She worked for Owens Corning until she married her sweetheart, James W. Shelt on June 20, 1953, and started their family. Virginia was a loving wife and mother. Later she worked part time at Bruns Florist and National Family Opinion.

Virginia was a devout member of All Saints Catholic Church. Her strong faith led her through life.

Virginia leaves to cherish her memory her son, William J. (Mary) Shelt; daughter-inlaw, Kathy Shelt; granddaughter, Julia (Joseph) Hagans and their son; stepgranddaughter, Christy Bihn and her three sons; sister, Carol Warren, and nephews, Jeffrey and Timothy (Sherda). She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, James T. Shelt, and brother-in-law, Richard Warren.

Friends will be received at All Saints Catholic Church, 628 Lime City Road, Rossford, on Thursday, April 11, from 10 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Lake Township Cemetery.
