On Saturday, March 23, 2024, at Blanchard Valley Hospital in Findlay, Ohio, Patricia (Pati) Diane (Kish) Grove passed into the loving hands of God at 7:32 p.m., due to an infection of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.

Pati was born on February 16, 1949, in Toledo, to George Franklin Kish and Anne Rose (Kucharski) Kish.

Pati lived in Toledo, Maumee, Rossford, Perrysburg Township and Perrysburg, before moving to Findlay in 1987.

Pati was a 1967 graduate of Rossford High School, where she was the head majorette and featured twirler for the Rossford High School band.

After high school, Pati went to Bowling Green State University, where she earned a BSED in elementary education degree.

During and after high school, Pati met Larry Grove, who also went to BGSU and earned his BSED degree.

Pati and Larry were married in August of 1970, the summer between their junior and senior years at BGSU.

After college, Pati took an elementary teaching position at Springfield Local Schools. One year at Springfield, Pati was named “Teacher of the Year” for the district.

In addition to her school teaching, Pati worked afternoons and evenings at Daryl Jervis Dance Studio, teaching jazz and tap dancing.

Later, Pati went to the University of Toledo, where she earned a master’s degree in elementary education.

Pati is survived by her husband, Larry; sons, Alan and Kevin; daughter-in-law, Jody; grandson, Rhen; brother, Randy Kish, and sisters-in-law, Meldie and Joanne Kish. Pati’s two sons, Kevin and Alan grew up to be successful in their chosen fields, which made Pati very proud of them. Kevin married Jody Wetzel and they gave Pati one grandson, Rhen James Grove.

If you would like to make a donation to any organization in honor of Pati, she especially liked animal shelters and organizations that focused on feeding less fortunate people and their families in local, state and national areas.
