Our loss is heaven’s gain. Betty Lou (MacCauley) Jeansonne, left our world on Monday, May, 18, 2020. If you spent time with Betty, you knew her love of family, conversations and coffee. She rejoins her loving husband of 50-plus years, Russell “Pop” Jeansonne; her parents, Jane “Granny” Eldreth and Paul Eldreth; sister and brother, Hazel Janney and Dick Eldreth, and furry friends, Fifi, Candi and Feather. She is survived by her son, Russell Jr., and his wife, Hazel, of Perrysburg, and daughter, Sherri Jugler, and husband, Richard, of Vincent, Ohio; four grandsons, James, Dennis (Carey), Christopher and Matthew; five great-grandchildren, Aidan, Ryan, Dylan, Chase and Genevieve; brothers, Paul Eldreth Jr. and Kenny Eldreth; sisters, Pauline White, Helen O’Connell and Janie Racine; sister-in-law, Mabel Eldreth, and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Roberta “Bobbie” Lessire Stewart, 83, formerly of Perrysburg, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 15, 2020, with her loving husband by her side. There will be a private inurnment service for the family later this summer in St. Rose Catholic Church Cemetery in Perrysburg. Joan Kay Myers, age 75, of Perrysburg, Ohio, passed away on Monday, May 18, 2020, in the care of Hospice of Northwest Ohio. She was born on December 23, 1944 to Harlan and Ruth McMunn in Adrian, Michigan.
Merritt Lee Searfoss, 97, of Perrysburg, passed away Sunday, May 10, at Otterbein of Pemberville. Merritt was born January 22, 1923, in Williamstown, Ohio, to George and Hazel (Rod-abaugh) Searfoss. Merritt proudly served in the 214th Battalion of the U.S. Army during World War II, which included his heroic service on D-Day plus 14. He went on to earn his master’s degree from Bowling Green State University. On December 12, 1948, he married Lorene (Mathias) Searfoss.
James L. Cook, 81, of Rossford, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2020, after fighting until his last breath, of complications from COVID-19.
