With just 14 seconds left in the varsity basketball game, Rossford’s Anthony Quintanilla, Jr. hit a threepointer from the corner to send the Rossford Bulldogs to their second win of the season, defeating the Oak Harbor Rockets, 54-49 in a Northern Buckeye Conference contest February 20.

The Rossford varsity girls basketball team won decisively at Lake last week, grounding the Flyers 46-31 in the regular season finale for both squads. It was the first Rossford victory over their Northern Buckeye Conference rivals in six meetings.

The Rossford High School Bulldogs varsity boys basketball team traveled to Eastwood on January 23 to face the league-leading Eagles. In typical fashion, the game came down to the wire with Eastwood leading most of the way, but the Bulldogs scrapping and keeping things close.

The Rossford Bulldogs were defeated by the Evergreen Vikings, 71-48 in the fourth annual MLK Basketball Showcase at Rossford. The all-day event featured high school basketball action from several local teams.

The Rossford varsity boys basketball team suffered a decisive loss to the Fostoria Redmen last Friday night, 76-40. It was a game where Fostoria’s experience clearly stood out, and Rossford fought hard all night to keep pace.

On December 5, the Rossford Bulldogs varsity boys basketball team opened league play with a 68-49 loss to new league members, the Oak Harbor Rockets. As in the first game, the Bulldogs struggled, turning the ball over 21 times with the Rockets converting 23 points off turnovers.

David Bringman, the Northern Buckeye Conference commissioner, has announced the following honors for Rossford High School girls volleyball. Earning All-League First Team honors was Olivia Rust.

The Perrysburg Lions Club will hold an evening of photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus at the American Legion Schaller Hall, 130 West Indiana Avenue. The event will be on Monday, November 20, from 5 to 8 p.m.
