JOANNE VEDRA

Joanne Vedra, 83, of Maumee, formerly of Rossford, passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at the Lakes of Monclova Assisted Living facility.

Joanne was born on September 9, 1940, in Toledo, to Florian and Sophia (Rudnicki) Lawniczak. Joanne was a graduate of DeVilbiss High School in Toledo. She married Stephen Vedra on June 13, 1959, and together they raised three sons. Joanne was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother, and will be dearly missed.

Joanne is survived by her children, Stephen (Lorri) Vedra, Timothy Vedra and Gregory (Cynthia) Vedra; her grandchildren, Kyle and Kevin Vedra, Emily (Jon) England; great-grandchildren, Isabella, Sophia and Olivia, as well as her sister, Kathy (John) McClure. Joanne also is survived by her sisters-inlaw, Agnes Vedra, Carolyn Vedra, Julianne (Michael) Kulakowski, and brother-inlaw, Joseph Vedra, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Joanne was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen, as well as her parents.

A private Memorial Mass will be held at a future date. Interment will be private at Fort Meigs Cemetery.
