Maeola Smith of Perrysburg, 97, passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at St. Vincent Hospital in Toledo. She was born on April 29, 1924, in Troy Township, to Henry D. and Edith L. (Frantz) Oates. She attended North Troy High School and on April 26, 1947, she married Nicholaus C. Smith.

James A. Lorenzen, 75, of Perrysburg, passed away Saturday, March 19, 2022, at Otterbein Sunset House. He was born on December 27, 1946, in Bowling Green, at Wood County Hospital, to Virginia and Thomas L. Lorenzen.

JOYCE (NOEL) SPITNALE

Joyce (Noel) Spitnale, age 83, passed away peacefully Thursday, February 17, 2022, at Otterbein in Pemberville, Ohio. Joyce was born on March 9, 1938, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Cecil and Wynema (Garrett) Noel. She was the oldest daughter and second of eight children.

Douglas “Doug” Jon Staib, 53, of Harrisonburg, Virginia, passed away February 14, 2022. He was born in Toledo, Ohio, on November 13, 1968, to Jon and Barbara (Zemanski) Staib. He earned a bachelor of fine arts with honors from James Madison University.

BETTY J. LAWNICZAK

Betty J. Lawniczak, 93, of Rossford, Ohio, passed away Friday, February 25, 2022, at the Manor at Perrysburg. She was born on January 6, 1929, in Saginaw, Michigan, to Elmer and Irene (Swarthout) Zieroff. She graduated Waite High School and married her sweetheart, Jerome Lawniczak on June 4, 1949.

Eileen Agnes (Finan) Pietrasz, 90, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at her home on Wednesday, February 16, 2022. She married Raymond on October 8, 1960. After raising her children, she worked for years at Gerrard’s grocery store.

Norm Szymanski, 83, of Northwood, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. He was born on November 10, 1938, in Toledo, Ohio, to Charlotte and John Szymanski.

James “Jim” Arthur Reichert, 70, of Perrysburg, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly, surrounded by his family Sunday, February 6, 2022, at his home. He was born on May 17, 1951, in Toledo, Ohio, to Donald Russel and Shirley Mae (Hoover) Reichert.

Pat Richards, 71, of Rossford, Ohio, passed away on Monday, January 24, 2022, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on January 25, 1951, in Toledo, to Joseph and Irene (Betag) Richards. Pat married Catherine Gladieux, the love of his life on April 22, 1977.
