PATRICK RICHARDS

Pat Richards, 71, of Rossford, Ohio, passed away on Monday, January 24, 2022, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on January 25, 1951, in Toledo, to Joseph and Irene (Betag) Richards. Pat married Catherine Gladieux, the love of his life on April 22, 1977. They enjoyed 44 years of friendship, love and family time together.

Pat’s greatest love was his family. He was extremely proud of his children and grandchildren. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of the Browns Backers and would attend bus trips to games any chance he could.

After graduating from Rossford High School in 1969, he worked as a public works operator for the City of Rossford for more than 40 years, before retiring. He enjoyed all sports and coached many different teams over the years. Pat was an avid Browns, Indians and Buckeyes fan … Here we go Brownies, here we GO!

Pat is survived by his loving wife, Catherine Richards; children, Eric Richards, Jenny Richards and Matt (Dani) Richards; grandchildren, Brooklynn, Ethan and Lou; siblings, Sue Roberts, Joan Swope, Michael (Carol) Richards, Patti (Ken) Roberts, Cindy (Steve) Schultz and Paul Richards; siblings-in-law, Mary (Thom) Brinkman and Tom Gladieux, and many adored nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and in-laws; brothers, Joe and David; nephew, Jason Brinkman, and nieces, Sarah Reitzel and Margie Brinkman.

Family and friends were received on Monday, January 31, from 9:30 until the time of the Memorial Mass at 10:30 a.m. in All Saints Catholic Church, 628 Lime City Road, Rossford.

Memorial contributions may be made to All Saints Catholic Church or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
