Bulldogs unable to keep pace with Rockets in opener, 49-22

The Rossford girls’ basketball team opened its season on November 18 at home with a loss to the Oak Harbor Rockets, 49-22 in a nonleague game. The Rockets relied on streaky shooting from the perimeter to jump out to an early lead that they never relinquished.

RHS girls basketball ready to tip-off new season

The Rossford High School varsity girls basketball team is set to tip-off the 2022-23 season. Sixth-year Head Coach Toby Ledesma is optimistic about the opportunities that lie ahead for the team. After winning just one game two years ago, the Bulldogs improved to 6-15 last year.

Football league honors announced

David Bringman, the Northern Buckeye Conference commissioner, has announced the following honors for Rossford High School football. Earning All-League First Team were receivers Jake Morrison and Kaden Kirkman; quarterback Alex Williams, and kicker Jonah Shafer.

Girls golf league honors announced

David Bringman, the Northern Buckeye Conference commissioner, has announced the following honors for Rossford High School girls golf players. Named Second Team All League were Haley Hogan, with 206 points and averaging 48.75, and Sophia Shinavar, with 199 points and averaging 53.3.

Bulldogs crush Woodmore, 63-7

The Rossford Bulldog offense exploded for 35 second quarter points on their way to a 63-7 win over the Woodmore Wildcats last Friday in an Northern Buckeye Conference contest. The Wildcats turned the ball over five times and, on occasion, Rossford’s offense dictated the tempo of the game.

Otsego edges Bulldog football team, 17-14

The Rossford Bulldogs dropped another close one as they were edged by the Otsego Knights 17-14 last Friday night at Jackson-Ferguson Stadium. On a night when the Bulldogs donned camouflage jerseys to honor the military, defense was definitely on display.

GenoaBank hosts 64 teams in annual scholarship golf outing

GenoaBank recently held its 24th annual scholarship golf outing. The event was held September 9, at the Oak Harbor Golf Club. It was a record-breaking year for the outing with 64 teams registered.

After three heartbreaking losses this fall, the Rossford Bulldogs rebounded with a win over Fostoria, 47-7, in a Northern Buckeye Conference contest last Friday night at Jackson-Ferguson Stadium.
