Karagyn Durco, of Rossford, is a member of the Richard Bland College volleyball team that recently won the NJCAA Division II national championship.

The tournament was held in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. No. 5 seed Richard Bland defeated McHenry County College, Iowa Central Community College and No. 1 seed Johnson County Community College to advance to the championship.

The team then beat Scottsdale Community College to win the title in five sets. Karagyn assisted on 62 occasions and had 17 digs and was named the tournament’s most valuable player.

This is the first national championship title for RBC women’s volleyball.
