Golf outing set

The Bacon/Ramirez Memorial Golf Scrambles, hosted by Northwood VFW 2984, is set for Saturday, August 13, at Sugar Creek Golf Course. Deadline is August 6. The two-man scramble is $60 per golfer.

RHS softball team to host 20th annual golf outing

The Rossford High School Lady Dogs softball team will host their 20th annual golf outing on Saturday, August 13, at Chippewa Golf Club. The event has an 8 a.m. shotgun start. The $70 entry fee includes golf, skin, cart and dinner at the Rossford American Legion.

Magic softball tryouts July 25

Magic SGS fastpitch softball tryouts for the 2022-23 season will take place Monday, July 25, at the Lucas County Rec Center. Tryouts will be offered for 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U and 18U teams from 5 to 9 p.m. Participants should visit sgsfastpitch.

Nawrocki to play football at Trine University

Class of 2022 Rossford High School graduate Michael Nawrocki has committed to playing football in the fall at Trine University. Planning to major in computer and information science, he is the son of Paul and Laurie Nawrocki.

Little league cheerleading, football registration open

Little league football and cheerleading registration is now open at the Rossford Community Recreation Center. Both sports begin practice in early August. Any children in grades 3 to 6 are eligible to participate. Costs are $175 for football and $125 for cheerleading.

Morrison to play basketball at Univ. of Findlay

Joining a family legacy, Rossford High School graduate Ben Morrison has committed to playing basketball in the fall at the University of Findlay. Planning to major in physical therapy, he is the son of Nicole and Brad Morrison. “It was the perfect fit academically and athletically,” Ben explained.

Rage Volleyball Club offers summer camp July 9-10

Rage Volleyball Club, headquartered in Rossford, will host a volleyball camp for fifth through 12th graders Saturday and Sunday, July 9 and 10, at the Rossford Community Recreation Center, 400 Dixie Highway. The cost of the camp is $60.
