Sharon K. (Mosiniak) Skrzyniecki, age 73, passed away on July 13, 2022, from pancreatic cancer. Sharon was born in Toledo, on May 8, 1949, to Theodore and Martha Mosiniak. She was baptized and attended church at St. Hyacinth and then, once St. Jude’s was built, attended school there, until eighth grade graduation. Sharon attended Central Catholic High School and the University of Toledo (UT), graduating with a bachelor of education. Sharon taught secretary and business courses at St. Ursula, was a secretary for UT, and worked for the city of Odessa, Texas. While living in the Houston area, she started her master’s degree at Sam Houston State University. Additionally, Sharon taught at Midland Community College in Midland, Texas, and was a project secretary for Chevron Corporation. Most recently, she was a student services secretary at Penta Career Center for more than 24 years.

During her time at UT, she met Randal Skrzyniecki. Although not an immediate love connection, Randal, while out on a summer job for an oil company and starting grad school, won her over with charm and wit in his heartfelt letters to Sharon. After a while, absence made the heart grow fonder. Eventually, the two fell in love and the rest is history. They were married on October 15, 1971, and celebrated 50 years of marriage last year.

Sharon was strong in her Catholic faith. She was known by family and friends as a sweet, caring and loyal person, who was there to help when needed. She had a love for theater and Broadway musicals, making numerous trips to see productions in other areas of the country. Sharon had an intense love for her family, and was proud of her children’s and grandchildren’s accomplishments. She enjoyed attending every event she could.

Sharon is survived by her husband of 50 years, Randal Skrzyniecki; children, Bryan (Julie) Skrzyniecki, Carrie Skrzyniecki and Kevin (Erin) Skrzyniecki; grandchildren, Nathan Skrzyniecki, Leah Skrzyniecki, Megan Skrzyniecki, Jack Skrzyniecki, Charlotte Skrzyniecki and Ellie Skrzyniecki; sister, Karen (Charles) Kovach; nephews, Matt (Meghan) Kovach with child Cody, Patrick Skrzyniecki, and nieces, Jennifer (Adam) Drake and Julene Skrzyniecki. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers-in-law, Alan Skrzyniecki and Jeffrey Skrzyniecki.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 19, from 3 to 7 p.m., at Sujkowski-Walker Funeral Home, 830 Lime City Road, Rossford. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, July 20, at 10:30 a.m., with visitation held an hour prior to services at All Saints Catholic Church, 628 Lime City Road, Rossford.
