RYAN JON MAHAFFEY

Ryan Jon Mahaffey, age 47, of Rossford, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 11, 2022, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Toledo. He was born May 28, 1975, in Toledo, and graduated from Rossford High School in 1993.

Ryan had a great love for the theater and was very active in the drama department while in high school and after. He directed the drama department at Rossford Schools for more than 13 years, positively impacting the lives of countless students. Ryan also was a part of several other theaters in the area and loved visiting New York City to experience Broadway shows firsthand. His fondness for traveling also included making trips to Disney World, Cedar Point or simple joy rides in his car. He could often be found hanging out by the pool at his dad’s home in Florida or enjoying good food, particularly his beloved Toft’s ice cream. Ryan was witty, outgoing, and enjoyed being of service to others. He has been employed in hospitality at several local hotels in his work career.

Left to cherish his memory are his father, Warren “Buss” Mahaffey; brother and sister-in-law, Jason and Kristen Mahaffey of Rossford; nieces, Kylee, Megan and Keaghan, and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. Ryan was preceded in death by his mother, Kathi Mahaffey in 2019.

Family and friends are invited to visit and share Ryan’s story from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday July 15, in the Sujkowski-Walker Funeral Home, 830 Lime City Road, Rossford. Additional visitation will be Saturday, July 16, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Ryan’s funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. in All Saints Catholic Church, 628 Lime City Road, Rossford.
