Rose Marie Pohlmeyer, 95, of Perrysburg, passed away August 12, 2022, at Parkcliffe of Northwood. She was born November 15, 1926, to Carl and Loretta

Rose met her husband, Donald Pohlmeyer, while at a bar to dance and have some drinks with her father in Cleveland, after which they moved to Rossford in 1963. Throughout life, she kept herself involved in many exciting projects, including painting the dials for airplanes during World War II and being a waitress at Don’s Drive-In in Maumee for more than 30 years, a career she absolutely loved. Upon retiring, Rose spent 30 years living at Paradise Resort in Sun City, Arizona, where she truly did feel in paradise every day.

An avid bowler throughout life, Rose also was quite the Cleveland Indians fan, having even seen the first and last game played at Cleveland Municipal Stadium, as well as the first game played at Jacobs Field. She also was a fervent traveler, taking many trips in and outside of the United States, including a trip to Ireland at the age of 91, and walking up the 126 steps to kiss the blarney stone. But above all else, it was her family that Rose held dearest in her loving heart.

Rose is survived by her sons, Bill (Lynda) Pohlmeyer and John Pohlmeyer Sr.; daughters, Mary (Mike) Pohlmeyer, Loretta (Tom) Rader and Sharon (Mark) Worthan; grandchildren, Wendy, Will, Tony, Kristi, Jason, John Jr., Andrea, Nathan, Mark Jr., James, Mindy, Jesseca and Brian, and 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Pohlmeyer, and son, Robert Pohlmeyer.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 18, from 4 to 8 p.m., at Sujkowski-Walker Funeral Home, 830 Lime City Road Rossford. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 19, at 10:30 a.m., at All Saints Catholic Church, 628 Lime City Road, Rossford, with interment to follow at Fort Meigs Union Cemetery.
