Richard “Dick” E. St. Julian, age 75, of Rossford, Ohio, died peacefully on May 31, 2021, at Toledo Hospital. He was born in Toledo, on December 19, 1945, to the late Charles “Frank” and Helene (Steinke) St. Julian. He was baptized and raised in Bethlehem Lutheran Church, where he remained a member for all his life. He married Cora “Tootie” Vicary on August 2, 1991.

Dick grew up in Toledo, and graduated from Waite High School in 1963. He attended the University of Toledo for three years, focusing on engineering before he left school to pursue a career working with his father for St. Julian Plumbing and Heating. At the same time, he joined and served in the Air National Guard. Later, he became a member of the American Legion Post No. 533.

Dick worked as an apprentice and a journeyman before becoming a master plumber. Dick took over his father’s company in 2001. He became actively involved in the Plumbing, Heating, Cooling Contractors Association, where he also served on the apprenticeship board.

Dick and Tootie enjoyed traveling together and made annual trips to Canada and Aruba, where they made many friends. Fishing was one of his favorite activities on those trips. Fishing for perch on Lake Erie with family and friends was one of his favorite pastimes. He also was a huge Ohio State Buckeye fan.

Dick is survived by his wife, Tootie; his stepchildren, Todd (Heather) Vicary, Tracy (Cory) Schober; grandchildren, Leigh Vicary (Matt Crandall), Lynnie and Lilah Schober; sisters, Karen McGee, Brenda (Michael) Kusner; aunts, Elsie Pavuk and Patricia Steinke; many nieces, nephews and cousins, and favorite dog, Emmie. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Gilbert McGee.

Friends were received at Sujkowski-Walker Funeral Home, Rossford, on Friday, June 4, from 2 to 8 p.m. A funeral service for Dick was held Saturday, June 5, at 10 a.m., at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Toledo. Burial followed at Union Hill Cemetery.
