Irene M. Spohn, 86, of Rossford, Ohio, passed away at Fairfield Mercy Hospital on Friday, September 10, 2021, where she is now with her Lord and Savior. She was born in Tiffin, on April 10, 1935, to Roy Franklin and Verona (Jarvis) Jacoby. Irene married her sweetheart, Alvin O. Spohn, on June 27, 1953, in Toledo.

Irene worked as a secretary for Owens Corning. She then worked 37 years for the Rossford School District. She worked most of those years as the secretary to the superintendent. She loved her job and was very active in the schools.

Irene was a faithful member of Bethel Assembly of God in Perrysburg. She had many close and dear friends and never met a stranger. Irene played in a Bunco Club, traveled around the world with her husband and loved life. Above all, her favorite was family get-togethers and holidays, where she enjoyed laughter and love.

Irene is survived by her loving husband, Alvin Spohn; daughter, Deborah (Otto, Jr.) Johnsen; son, Douglas (Donna) Spohn; daughter-in-law, Lori Spohn; grandchildren, Heather Kallies, Otto (Angela) Johnsen III, Alison (James) Link, Kelley Spohn, Alan (Elena) Spohn and Ken Spohn Jr.; great-grandchildren, Lydia and Anden Kallies, Francesca, Victoria and Alexandra Spohn, Carson, Carter and Calvin Link, Hannah Young and Adrianna Johnsen, and sister, Mildred (Richard) Kaweski. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Kenneth Spohn Sr., and step-father, Paul Whitson.

Friends were received at Sujkowski-Walker Funeral Home, Rossford (419-666-1566) on Tuesday, September 14, from 2 to 8 p.m. Funeral services were held Wednesday, September 15, at 11 a.m., with Pastor Earl Marsh officiating. Burial followed in Lake Township Cemetery.
