•HUBERT “PETE” BAILEY

Hubert “Pete” Bailey, age 88, of Perrysburg, Ohio, passed away on Monday, October 11, 2021, at Heartland of Perrysburg. He was born on August 15, 1933, in Ewing, Virginia, to William Paul and Nellie (Brooks) Bailey. Pete graduated from Scott High School in Toledo and worked for Libbey-Owens-Ford for 38 years as a computer programmer. He was a member of the Rossford Eagles and loved dancing, camping and jigsaw puzzles. He also enjoyed spending the winter in Florida with his special friend, Peg Lauer.

Pete is survived by his children; daughter, Michelle Birdwell, and son, Robert (Minda) Bailey; granddaughters, Aubrei Smith, Lauren Smith and Allison (Blake) Williams; five great-grandchildren, and sister-in-law, Glenda Bailey. He was preceded in death by his wife, Diana; parents; step-father, Orville Nollenberger, and brother, William Bailey.

Visitation was held from 2 to 6 p.m., on Saturday, October 16, at the Sujkowski-Walker Funeral Home, 830 Lime City Road, Rossford. Funeral services followed at 6:30 p.m., in the funeral home. Graveside services took place on Sunday, October 17, at 11 a.m., at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
