Henry Goth Werner, 93, of Rossford, passed away June 17, 2022, at his home. Henry (Hank) was born April 9, 1929, in Rossford. He was the youngest of four children born to Henry and Helen (Golder) Werner.

He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Henry, along with longtime friends Brian Meeker and John Ferguson, were founding partners of Fiber-Lite, until his retirement in 1996. After retiring, he continued his interests in the things he loved most as a young man, which included sailing, boating and fishing. He enjoyed wintering at Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo, Florida, and spending time at his lake house on Johnson’s Island in Marblehead. He was an avid Ohio State football fan and truly enjoyed watching the games with friends and family. In addition, he was a charitable supporter to the Toledo Zoo, Toledo Symphony, Toledo Art Museum and to Lakeside Chautauqua in Marblehead.

He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline (Rousseau) Werner; children, Henry “Hans” (Andrea) Werner Jr. and Marsha (Rick) Wofter; grandchildren, Robin (Bill) Dean, Hollie (Steve) Tokish, Mike (Jessica) Bayer, Henry “Jared” (Lauren) Werner and Tyler (Jenna Rachwal) Werner; great-grandchildren, Billy and Bradley Dean, Ronald, Madelyn and Alexander Tokish, Henry and Jack Werner, Carla and Colton Bayer, Mike Schwind and Skyler Adams; son-in-law, Michael (Gayle) Bayer; nephews, Jon Werner, Phil Drechsler, and a great-niece, Laura Eins. In addition, through his marriage to Jackie, an extended family, Ruth Rousseau, Barbara (Marty) Lahey and Rob Rousseau, as well as nephews, nieces and several other grand and great-grand children.

He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Carl (Peg) Werner, Harold (Nancy) Werner and Ethel (Robert) Drechsler; a daughter, Carla Bayer; nephew, Kim Werner, and Betty Werner.

Friends and family were received Wednesday June 22, from 4 to 7 p.m., at Witzler-Shank-Walker Funeral Home, 222 East South Boundary Street, Perrysburg, where funeral services will be held Thursday, June 23, at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Toledo Memorial Park. An additional Memorial Mass will be held at All Saints Catholic Church in Rossford, on Friday, June 24, at 11:30 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations may be made in Henry’s name to Lakeside Hoover Auditorium Restoration Fund or the Toledo Zoo.
