•DEBORAH “DEBBIE” ANN (KOPP) COATES

Deborah “Debbie” Ann (Kopp) Coates, 70, of Perrysburg, passed away Sunday, May 8, 2022, at Lakes of Monclova. She was born in Toledo, on November 12, 1951, to Jeanette Shirley (Fuller) and Carl Joseph Kopp.

Debbie was a member of The Chapel in Port Clinton, until moving back to Perrysburg. She was part of the Toledo Raptures and participated in their many programs.

Debbie’s love in life was first her dog, Max. Max was her best friend that rode with her everywhere. She also loved to cook, fish, camp and be with her family. Debbie’s loving smile, warm and generous heart, sense of humor and willingness to help others will be missed by all who knew her.

Debbie is survived by her children, Jennifer Coates and Matthew Coates; siblings, Joe (Dianne) Kopp, Jeanette (Jesse) Gingrich, Carl Jr. (Alice) Kopp, Mike (Dawn) Kopp and Sue (Luke) Lucas; grandchildren, Lilly (Danny) Spence, Matthew Coates Jr. and Kaden Coates-Beecham; great-grandson, Daniel “DJ” Spence Jr., and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; niece, Tarra Kopp, and nephew, Paul Bryan Kopp.

Friends will be received at Sujkowski-Walker Funeral Home, 830 Lime City Road, Rossford, on Thursday, May 12, from 2 to 8 p.m., and Friday, May 13, 10 to 11 a.m., with a funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Ft. Meigs Union Cemetery.
