Betsy (Schwertfeger) Davies, 77, of Collingwood, Ontario, Canada, passed away October 27, 2021. She was born July 12, 1944 in Toledo, Ohio, to F. Edward and Betty J. (Sanders) Schwertfeger.

Betsy married Gareth Davies in 1964, on Pelee Island, Ontario.

A 1962 Rossford High School graduate, Betsy also attended Eastern Kentucky University. She was the owner/operator of the Mulberry Bush pre-k school in Collingwood for 17 years, ∏ and a resource teacher at the Community Living Center for 23 years. She adored children and spent many hours working with those who were developmentally disabled.

Betsy was very active in the Masonic Shrine Royal Order of Jesters in Toronto, which enabled her to travel the world with that organization. She had a very dry sense of humor that her friends and family thoroughly enjoyed. If she liked you, then you had a friend for life. She is and will be greatly missed, but not forgotten.

She is survived by her children, Lori Bremner and her husband Tim of Houston, Texas, and Doreen (Brownwig/Schwartze) and her husband, Andrew of Toronto; sister, Ginger (Jerry) Steer of Rossford; brother, Robert (Anne) Schwertfeger of Toledo; granddaughter, Jayne Brownwig, and grandsons, Gareth Brownwig and Conner Bremner. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; sisters, Louise Jaqua and Sandra Ansted, and brothers-in-law, Pat and Burns Pierce, and Kuvar Davies. ∏
