Joseph Shufritz, age 87, of Rossford, passed away Thursday, December 23, 2021, in Hospice of Northwest Ohio inpatient unit, Perrysburg, after a brief illness. He was born September 15, 1934, in Rossford, to Peter and Mary (Lisik) Shufritz. Joe was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Panama. After being honorably discharged, he went to work at the former Libbey-Owens-Ford Glass Company, retiring in 1996. A proud supporter of Rossford athletics, he enjoyed going to all their different sporting events. He was a big fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes, and the Cleveland Browns and Indians. He also enjoyed gardening, tending to his flowers and socializing with his many friends.

Joe was preceded in death by his wife, Anita; his parents; brothers, John, Frank, Pete and Mike, and nephew, Richard Shufritz. Surviving is his twin brother, Jake; sister, Helen Shufritz; sisterin-law, Agnes Cordrey; nephew, Steven, and nieces, Cindy, Mary and Lynn.

Friends were received at All Saints Catholic Church, 630 Lime City Road, Rossford, on Thursday, December 30, at 9:30 a.m., where the Funeral Mass followed at 10:30 a.m. Entombment was in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
