Garry Vincent Walczewski, 69, died suddenly February 10, 2021, at the University of Michigan Cardiovascular Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Garry was born in Rossford on February 1, 1952. He took his first communion on May 6, 1962, at St. Mary Magdalene Church.

Garry graduated from Rossford High School in 1971 and also earned a degree in horticulture from Penta Vocational High School.

On May 15, 1999, he married his longtime friend, Brenda Bovee, with whom he celebrated 21 years of marriage.

Garry was employed by Libbey-Owens-Ford for a short while before working for the Rossford School District for 31 years, beginning in 1983 all the way to his retirement in 2014. He loved watching auto auctions, listening to all kinds of music and collecting rare coins.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Brenda; sister, Sharon Cooper (Walczewski); uncle, Fred King; nephews, Chad and Corey Cooper; four stepchildren; four grand-nephews; a grandniece; seven stepgrandchildren, and numerous friends and colleagues.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Gertrude “Tootsie” and Walter Walczewski; his aunt, Janet, and uncles, Benjamin, Joseph, James and Andrew.

Due to COVID-19, services were private. Funeral service conducted by Walter Funeral Home, Toledo.
