To help visitors navigate Wood County park system trails, the park district is planning to install signage, the first of which will be installed at W.W. Knight Nature Preserve in Perrysburg Township. At the September 12 meeting, the Wood County Park District commissioners reviewed proposed signage. Above, Andrew Kalmar, assistant director, displays a sample of what the signage would look like to park Commissioner Tom Myers, left and park Director Chris Smalley. He noted that signs will help direct park visitors around the trail system and are made of a heavy duty plastic with the graphics embedded within it. Mr. Smalley said they hope to have the signs installed by next spring. In addition to W.W. Knight, the signage also will be installed at Sawyer Nature Preserve, Bradner Preserve and Cedar Creek.
