Roadway safety remembrance ceremony is November 14

Local officials and safety advocates will gather to remember and honor the 16 victims of fatal crashes from the past year during a special roadway safety remembrance ceremony on Friday, November 14, at 9 a.m., in the Emergency Operations Center at the Wood County Courthouse.

Ohio Soil Health Week is November 9 to 15. The weeklong celebration provides a space and time to honor and recognize one of Ohio’s most valuable natural resources: our soil.

Gathering of Quilters to meet November 20 in Holland

The Gathering of Quilters, founded in 1982, promotes the art and craft of quilt making.The group meets at Holland Free Methodist Church at 6605 Angola Road, Holland, on the third Thursday of each month, September through May, at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. (excluding December).

Cyber security basics class offered Nov. 17 in Bowling Green

In collaboration with National Council on Aging, AT&T and the Public Library Association, a division of the American Library Association, the Wood County Committee on Aging (WCCOA) will present the class on cyber security basics, on Monday, November 17, at 10:30 a.m.

GriefShare to host ‘Surviving the Holidays’ program

GriefShare, a grief recovery support group, will host “Surviving the Holidays” on Monday, November 17, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., or Tuesday, November 18, from 10 a.m. to noon. The meetings will be held at Monclova Road Baptist Church, building A, 7819 Monclova Road, Monclova.
