MVHS offers day camps and field trip to Sauder’s

The Maumee Valley Historical Society (MVHS) will hold events for this year’s America 250th anniversary. Featured will be a History Day Camp and a Fiber Arts Camp, both at the Wolcott Heritage Center, and an Enrichment Field Trip for teachers and adult history buffs to Sauder’s Village.

St. Joseph’s to hold summer rummage sale, June 3 to 6

Maumee St. Joseph’s Catholic Church is having its annual summer rummage sale. The dates are Wednesday, June 3, from 5 to 8 p.m., with a 10 percent markup; Thursday and Friday, June 4 and 5, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturday, June 6, from 9 a.m. to noon.

District starts annual hydrant flushing program

The Northwestern Water and Sewer District began its annual hydrant flushing program on May 26. Crews will flush more than 4,000 hydrants throughout the fourcounty service area, and work will continue through the fall.Hydrant flushing is an important part of routine water system maintenance.
