WCCOA to hold ‘Matter of Balance’ class, targeted toward fall prevention

The Wood County Committee on Aging, Inc. (WCCOA) will be holding a “Matter of Balance” class at the Wood County Senior Center, 140 South Grove Street, Bowling Green, every Monday from March 16 to May 4, from 1 to 3 p.m.

‘Ohio in the American Revolutionary War’ presentation set for Mar. 18

As part of a yearlong celebration of America’s 250th Anniversary, Waterville Historical Society invites the public to a free program presented by Larry Nelson, Ph.D, concerning the role of Ohio in the Revolutionary War.The program is set for Wednesday, March 18, at 7 p.m.

The Wood County Suicide Prevention Coalition is dedicated to raising awareness of suicide, conveying that it is preventable, mental health conditions are treatable and decreasing stigma as a barrier to seeking treatment.

Rossford Police Dept. to host Safety Town program June 22-26

The Rossford Police Department will present its Safety Town program June 22 through 26, from 9 a.m. to noon, at Rossford Elementary School, 28500 Lime City Road. Graduation is planned for June 26, at 11:30 a.m. A photo I.D. is required for pickup.

Park district to offer Leprechaun open geocaching

The Wood County Park District will offer free Leprechaun Open Geocaching, on Saturday, March 21, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Bradner Preserve, 11491 Fostoria Road, Bradner.Participants can solve riddles to find the hidden leprechauns’ secret treasure caches. Stop by anytime between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.
