Members of the Rambling River Girl Scouts and Troop 11020 of Rossford visited Perrysburg Township February 21 to present boxes of cookies to the trustees. The cookies were given to the board as an expression of appreciation for allowing the Troop to use township facilities as a clearinghouse for the cookies.

At the February 20 meeting, the Perrysburg Township board of zoning appeals approved a variance for a proposed prototype facility. APG Land Acquisitions LLC requested the variance to allow for construction of a 58-foot high facility, which exceeds the zoning resolution standards set at 45 feet.

The Rossford Chess Team hosted the Greater Toledo Area High School Chess League Annual Beach Chess Tournament on February 24. The high school team of Landon Wignall, Phoenix Bishop, Jari Stalnaker and Dominic Zapata came in second place.

A union of Perrysburg Township and the City of Northwood’s dispatching service could be in the near future. At the February 21 meeting, the trustees authorized Fire Chief Tom Brice to continue negotiations with Northwood for dispatching.
