The Rossford High School SOS (Serving Our Soldiers) Club recently toured the Ohio Air National Guard’s 180th Fighter Wing on a field trip. Students explored equipment, asked questions and learned basic self-defense and first aid practices.

Fire and rescue department receives new equipment

The Rossford Fire and Rescue Department recently received new equipment, which is expected to help elevate the level of care they can provide to the community. Through grant funding, they purchased two LUCAS devices, two Lifepaks and two stair chairs.

Officer Jodi Johnson, the school resource officer at the Rossford Junior-Senior High School, was recognized as the 2025 Officer of the Year during Rossford City Council’s regular meeting on March 9.“A lot of things she does go unnoticed, because she’s at the school,” said Police Chief Todd Kitzler.
