Wood County sheriff deputizes newest addition to courtroom staff

Wood County has a new addition to its courthouse staff.On June 14, Wood County Prosecutor Paul Dobson introduced Norene, who will be the first courthouse facility dog ever utilized by the county and one of the first in northwest Ohio.

Public invited to participate in active shooter training

The Perrysburg Township police and fire departments, along with other area law enforcement, invite members of the community to participate in an active shooter training from 4:30 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, June 18, at Penta Career Center, 9301 Buck Road, Perrysburg Township.

Museum to host New York Times bestselling author

The Wood County Museum in Bowling Green will hold a meet-and-greet and book signing event with Kate Moore, author of the New York Times nonfiction bestseller The Radium Girls on Saturday, June 15 at 2 p.m.

Rossford Library to host free summer concerts

The Rossford Public Library will host its summer concert series on Wednesday evenings, June 5 through July 24. Performances will run from 6 to 8 p.m. and are free for the public. Guests are invited to bring a chair or blanket and sit on the library lawn.

ODOT weekly construction update

The Ohio Department of Transportation has released the following updates on road construction in the area.I-75 between State Route 795 and Buck Road in Rossford, will experience lane restrictions for reconstruction of the Lime City Road bridge through summer 2025.
