NWSD awarded $20,000 grant

The Northwestern Water and Sewer District was awarded funding recently from the John Henry Eldred Jr. Foundation.The district received $20,000 to support the Pay It Forward program. The grant will provide $5,000 per year over the next four years.

Books give you wings/Millie Boris completed Rossford Public Library’s 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program. She recently turned five and finished the program just in time to start kindergarten in the fall.Millie’s favorite activity is painting, but she also loves to read.

World Blood Donor Day is June 14, and the American Red Cross stresses that blood and platelet donors are critically needed right now to combat a shortfall in donations over the last several weeks.

Antique tractor showcase returns to Sauder Village

Sauder Village’s “Tractors, Tractors, Tractors” event will be held on Saturday, June 22.The event will showcase over 20 antique tractors, many of which predate 1950.Residents will have the opportunity to see how farm equipment has evolved over the course of the past century.

About the Library this summer

Rossford Public Library is gearing up for an exciting and adventurous summer. The Summer Reading Club kicks off June 3 and will run through July 26.Children can stop into the library to register. Participants are encouraged to stop each week to report their reading to receive a prize.
