The Goodwill store off Fremont Pike in Perrysburg Township may have opened several weeks ago, but store officials chose June 13 to hold the official grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony. The shop is in the former Bed, Bath and Beyond store at 10027 Fremont Pike.

Bowling Green State University art galleries invites artists 16 and older to submit their works for display in the 17th annual Northwest Ohio (NOW OH) community art show, taking place July 23 to August 4 at the BGSU Fine Arts Center.

Dawn Burks, school board president, presents Mia DeBortoli with a commendation for her accomplishments in track and field. This year, Mia qualified for state in the 200m by finishing fourth at regionals. Her 4x200m relay team finished second in the Northern Buckeye Conference to qualify for regionals. Mia also finished First Team All-NBC in 200m; received honorable mention in the NBC 100m, and played on the varsity girls basketball team.

Rossford BOE addresses personnel issues, accepts retirement of Edmond

The Rossford Schools board of education addressed a number of personnel matters, including the retirement of instructor Tim Edmond.At the June 10 meeting, the board approved his retirement resignation, effective July 31.
