Zoar to host forum on the history of hate groups

Zoar Lutheran Church will host an adult forum for learning, reflection and conversation about the history and continuing presence of organized hate movements in Ohio. The event will be held Sunday, June 14, 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. All adults are welcome to attend.

Rossford Senior Center

Trustees move forward with new levy and zoning measure

During the regular meeting of the Township Board of Trustees on June 3, Fiscal Officer Gretchen Welch presented the board with the Certificate of Estimated Property Tax Revenue for the proposed new 3.5 mill tax levy for fire and emergency medical services.

The Polish American Concert Band will play at downtown Rossford’s Stroll the Street on Tuesday, June 16.In addition, there will be a Super Cruise car show from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Rossford United Methodist Church, 270 Dixie Highway.

Local project awarded Brownfield Remediation grant

A project in Perrysburg Township has received a grant from the Department of Development as part of the Ohio Brownfield Remediation Program.An assessment project at Renewed Outdoors, LLC on Avenue Road in Perrysburg, received $61,286.

Toledo Helps Ukraine launches sixth major humanitarian aid drive

Toledo Helps Ukraine (THU) has launched another humanitarian collection drive through its Surplus to Survival initiative, running through July 5, 2026. Donations can be dropped off Sundays, from 8 a.m. to noon, at Lutheran Church of the Master, 28744 Simmons Road, Perrysburg.

Wood County property tax due date update

Due to the House Bill 186, property tax due dates for Real Estate and Manufactured Homes are being extended to August 17, 2026. The Wood County Treasurer’s office expects to have the bills to the taxpayers 30 days prior to the due date. Watch for any updates on the website at https://treasurer.co.

OPmobility project receives state approval

Ohio Governor Mike DeWine, Lt. Governor Jim Tressel, and Ohio Department of Development Director Lydia Mihalik recently announced the approval of eight projects that will create 1,618 new jobs and retain 1,835 jobs statewide. One of the projects approved is OPmobility Exterior USA, LLC, in Rossford.
