‘Let the Hounds Out’ fund-raiser is scheduled for March 23

Libbey House will host a mystery event fund-raiser, “Who Let the Hounds Out,” on Saturday, March 23, from 6 to 10 p.m., at Libbey House, 2008 Scottwood Avenue, Old West End. A mystery surrounds the disappearance of local pups and the mansion’s staff needs all hands on deck to fetch the clues and solve the mystery.

Fast-paced Fostoria too much for Bulldogs

The Rossford Bulldogs fell to the fast-paced Fostoria Redmen on January 30 in a Northern Buckeye Conference game. The Redmen, currently in first place in league standings, scored often in transition.

House approves funds for local projects

The Ohio House of Representatives recently passed Substitute House Bill 2, which will allocate $350 million in one-time project funding from the Strategic Community Investment Fund. This funding will be administered to statewide, regional, and local projects, $15 million of which will directly serve Wood and Lucas counties and the surrounding communities.

Turnpike hits 100,000 EV charges at service plazas

The Ohio Turnpike and Infrastructure Commission achieved a major milestone last month when the total number of electric vehicles (EV) charged on the 241mile toll road surpassed more than 100,000 charging sessions.

Community invited to attend Lenten program at All Saints

All Saints and St. Jerome’s Mission invites the community to attend a special Lenten program February 25 to 27. The theme will be “These 40 Days” with Lenten music, prayer and storytelling led by Janèt Sullivan Whitaker. It begins at 7 p.m. each day at All Saints Catholic Church, 628 Lime City Road.
