Jim Leyland, from Perrysburg to Cooperstown

On Sunday, July 21, Jim Leyland was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame. Among others, a contingent of family and friends attended the ceremonies in Cooperstown, New York.

National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Wood County is a self-help organization offering free events, educational classes, support groups and other programs that address mental health for the Wood County community.

Friends of the Rossford Public Library book sale

The annual Friends of the Rossford Library book sale will be held at the library, 720 Dixie Highway, Tuesday through Thursday, August 6 to 8, from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Residents are invited to check out a huge selection of books, audiobooks, movies, music and other items priced to sell.
