Directions Credit Union offers scholarships

Directions Credit Union is currently accepting applications for its scholarship program for both high school and college students.Each year, Directions awards a total of 12 $1,000 college scholarships and three $1,000 private high school scholarships to students in the communities Directions serves.

Rossford Schools hosts family literacy night

Rossford Schools will kick off right to read week with their fourth annual family literacy night on Monday, February 24, 5:30 to 7:15 p.m., at Rossford Elementary School, 28500 Lime City Road.

Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program offered through United Way

United Way of Greater Toledo/211 and LISC Toledo to sponsor the VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) program for 2025. VITA, managed by LISC and scheduled through 211, provides tax preparation services in the Toledo area and, last year, 1,350 clients received federal refunds totaling more than $1.

High School Tech Internship application period now open

Ohio Lt. Governor Jon Husted, who serves as director of the Governor’s Office of Workforce Transformation, recently announced that the next round of the High School Tech Internship program is officially open for students and businesses to apply to participate.

Boating safety course offered at two locations

The Toledo Sail and Power Squadron will offer America’s Boating Course at two locations this year.The program will be offered March 1 and 8, at Maumee River Yacht Club, from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Registration starts at 8:15 a.m. There will be a 30-minute lunch break.

Perrysburg Chorale to present ‘ The Four Seasons’
