Free Advanced Driver Training summer series for teen drivers returns

Free hands-on driver skills training is returning this summer for teen drivers in Ohio to practice crash avoidance techniques and gain the experience necessary to become safer drivers.

New Toledo Toy Show comes to Rossford

The New Toledo Toy Show is back on Saturday, April 19, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the TOCA Soccer & Sports Center, 10020 South Compass Drive in Rossford. Admission is five dollars per person, and kids 12 and under are free. Early Bird Entry is available from 7:30 to 9 a.m. for $10.

SOS Club serves breakfast

Rossford High School’s Serving Our Soldiers (SOS) Club will host a pancake breakfast to benefit Flag City Honor Flight on April 26. The event will be at the Rossford Junior/ Senior High School cafeteria from 8 to 11 a.m., or until sold out.

Cake bake auction to be held April 27

Scouts from Pack 43, Troop 62 and Troop 3062 from Rossford United Methodist Church are having a cake bake auction at the church on Sunday, April 27, from noon to 2 p.m. They would appreciate donations of any kind of baked goods to auction off. Multiple entries are allowed.

Police department to host Safety Town program June 23-27 at Rossford Elementary School

The Rossford Police Department will present its Safety Town program June 23 through 27, from 9 a.m. to noon, at Rossford Elementary School, 28500 Lime City Road. Graduation is planned for June 27, at 11:30 a.m.The program is offered to all children enrolled in kindergarten.

Wood County cracks down on distracted driving

Sheriff Mark Wasylyshyn announced on April 11 that the Wood County Sheriff’s Office will be conducting increased patrol until Wednesday, April 30, for distracted driving.
