Park district offers animal valentine trivia

Area adults are invited to the Wood County Park District’s BYOB Animal Valentines Trivia on Friday, February 14, from 7 to 9 p.m., at W.W. Knight Nature Preserve, Hankison Great Room, 29530 White Road, Perrysburg.This adults-only event will offer pub-style trivia on animal mating behaviors.

Rossford city council swears in new fire dept. leadership at February 10 meeting

Rossford city council officially swore in Richard Syroka, who is coming out of retirement from the Toledo Fire Department with 33 years of experience, as fire chief during their regular meeting on February 10.

Township trustees hear fire and EMS 2024 annual report

Fire Chief Tom Brice presented the fire and EMS 2024 annual report during the Perrysburg Township board of trustees meeting on February 5. According to the report, 2024 was the busiest year on record for the department with 2,686 calls for service.

Winterfest returns Friday and Saturday, February 21-22

The Northwestern Water and Sewer District delivers water and sewer services to more than 20,000 customer accounts in Wood, Henry, Sandusky and Hancock counties. Although many of the projects are underground, utility work can impact water and sewer service and roads throughout the area.
