VFW to host band April 26

Northwood VFW #2984 will host the band J.T. Hayden on Saturday, April 26, from 7 to 11 p.m., at 102 West Andrus Road, Northwood.The organization also holds a Friday fish fry from 5 to 7:30 p.m. each Friday. Dinners are available for dine in or carryout.

EAA Chapter 582 to host ‘Flying Start’ event

EAA Chapter 582 will host a “Flying Start” informational program on learning to fly at Toledo Executive Airport (KTDZ), on Saturday May 17.The program will be held from 9 a.m. to noon, at EAA 582 Chapter Hangar, 28329 Lemoyne Road, Millbury. Anyone with an interest in aviation may attend.

WCCOA to host Cars and Cookies on May 2

Wood County Committee on Aging will host the Cars and Cookies Show, in the parking lot of the Wood County Senior Center, 140 South Grove Street, Bowling Green, on Friday, May 2, from 4 to 6 p.m. Rain date is Friday, May 9, from 4 to 6 p.m.

MVCDS's Afro-Am Club to present Afro-Am dinner

Maumee Valley Country Day School’s Afro-Am Club announces the return of its annual event, the Afro-Am dinner. Scheduled for Thursday, May 1, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., in the school’s dining hall, this celebration delivers an evening of cultural enrichment and community engagement.

RBA to award four $1,000 scholarships

The Rossford Business Association will award four $1,000 scholarships this year to 2025 graduates living in the Rossford School District. Applications can be picked up in the guidance counselor’s office at Rossford High School.The deadline for applications is April 25.
