Free concert series at Wood County Museum

The Wood County Museum will host a free summer concert series, Music at the Museum Presented by Bowling Green Auto Sales, on July 10, starting at 6 p.m. Concert-goers are asked to bring chairs or blankets for lawn seating. A beer garden will be on site—no outside alcohol will be allowed.

Friends of the Rossford Public Library holds annual book sale

Friends of the Rossford Public Library will have its annual book sale on August 5, 6 and 7, from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., at 720 Dixie Highway. The sale will also include movies, audiobooks and music.

Lady Dogs holds 23rd annual golf outing

The RHS Lady Dogs softball program’s annual golf outing will be August 2, 8 a.m., at the Chippewa Golf Course, 23550 West State Route 579, Curtice.The event costs $85, which includes golfing, cart and dinner held at the American Legion in Rossford, 145 Bergin Street.

Rossford Public Library has released their musical lineup for their free summer concert series, Libraries Rock.The event takes place Wednesdays through August 13, from 6 to 8 p.m., at 720 Dixie Highway. Attendees are asked to bring a chair or blanket for sitting on the library lawn.

Kids Zone areas featured at Rossford Balloon and Fireworks Festival

There’s plenty of fun planned for children at the Rossford Balloon and Fireworks Festival, set for July 18 and 19. From 5 to 10 p.m., both Friday and Saturday, kids and families can explore four interactive zones located in front of TOCA Soccer and Sports Center, 10020 South Compass Drive, Rossford.

Free classic car show, July 15

Those who missed Rossford’s Super Cruise-In Car Show on June 17—or for whom attending once just wasn’t enough—will have another opportunity on July 15 as part of the city’s weekly Stroll the Street.

Rossford American Legion to host golf scrambles July 19

The Rossford American Legion Post 533 will host its golf scrambles on Saturday, July 19, at 9 a.m., at Green Meadows Country Club in Monroe, Michigan. Men, women or mixed foursomes are welcome.

The Cocoon launched 20th anniversary year

The Cocoon Shelter welcomed its first survivor and her child, opening its doors through the determination of grassroot efforts, dedicated founding members and the steadfast support of the Wood County community.

WCCOA offers cholesterol screenings in Bowling Green and Perrysburg

The Wood County Committee on Aging, Inc. is currently scheduling cholesterol screening clinics for July.To register, participants must be a resident of Wood County and 25 years of age or older. The cost is $20 for those 60 and older and $25 for residents 25 through 59.
