Ohio Turnpike construction to impact local interchanges

With a budget of $226 million, the Ohio Turnpike and Infrastructure Commission is gearing up for capital improvement projects across the 241-mile toll road this summer. The turnpike traverses through 13 counties in northern Ohio including Lucas and Wood, which will be impacted by some of the work.

Pancake breakfast to help Flag City Honor Flight

A pancake breakfast will be held on Saturday, April 29, at Rossford’s Junior/Senior High School cafeteria from 8 to 11 a.m., or until sold out. Guests will be served sausage, a fruit cup, juice, milk, coffee and all-you-can-eat pancakes.

City council continues hearing on contractor registration requirements

City council had its first reading for an ordinance establishing criteria for residential, commercial and industrial contracts to transact business within the municipality at the March 27 meeting. No action was taken on the measure due to the excused absences of council members Caroline Eckel, Larry Oberdorf and Robert Ruse.
