Nature’s Nursery collaborates to create a Greener Garden

What does it take to feed 900 baby bunnies in a single year? It takes teamwork, coordination and a lot of greens. Nature’s Nursery Center for Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation has become a pro over the last 34 years in caring for orphaned bunnies, squirrels, woodchucks and other native wildlife, and now with the help of several other organizations, will be digging into gardening to create a more economical and environmentally “green” option to feeding the animals.

NAMI to host mental health conference

National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Wood County, a self-help organization offering free events, educational classes, support groups, and other programs that address mental health for the Wood County community, will host a hybrid Mental Health Conference Series on Friday, May 12, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., at Bowling Green State University Levis Commons, 1655 North Wilkinson Way, Perrysburg.

RHS teacher supports Getting Back Up

Rossford High School teacher Martha Fellman participated in the Savage 5K as part of the Glass City Marathon weekend. Mrs. Fellman ran to support Getting Back Up, an organization whose mission is to help those living with a spinal cord injury by improving their quality of life. The Rossford Association of Classroom Teachers sponsored Mrs. Fellman with a donation from the jeans fund.
