The Rossford Bulldog baseball team won the Sectional title with a dramatic seventh- inning over the Van Wert Cougars, 5-4 on the Jerry Baumgartner Diamond at Brick Long Field last Friday. “The kids had a no-quit attitude from the start,” said Head Coach Marc Diels.

RHS boys tennis takes the court

For the Rossford boys tennis team, improvement is the theme of the upcoming season. Third-year Head Coach Tim Edmond believes this season’s squad will not only show improvement, but will challenge opponents in every match.

Bulldogs fall to Van Wert in regional semi finals

The Rossford Bulldogs basketball tournament run came to an end on March 9 when they came up short against a hot-shooting Van Wert Cougars team, 49-42. Played in the Stroh Center at Bowling Green State University, the game marked the first trip to the regional tournament for the Bulldogs since 1989.

Two RHS wrestlers advance to state

Two Rossford High School wrestlers have qualified for the state competition. Ayden Wilson and Noel Reinhart both competed at the district competition last weekend and earned the right to move on. The state competition is March 10 to 12, at the Schottenstein Center in Columbus.

Rossford Bulldogs are district champions

Rossford Bulldogs approached their district semifinal game against Wauseon Indians with defensive tenacity, limiting possessions by controlling the ball on offense, holding the Indians to just nine of 29 from the field and only allowing a total of 11 points through the first three quarters.

RHS student-athletes sign with colleges

Four Rossford High School student-athletes signed their letters of intent to continue playing at the college level. Jake Morrison signed to play basketball at the University of Findlay.

BGSU hosts 2023 Special Olympics Ohio indoor winter games

Almost 1,000 athletes across Ohio are preparing to participate in the Special Olympics Ohio’s 2023 indoor winter games this weekend. The games, representing the organization’s second largest state-level annual tournament, will be held Friday through Sunday, March 3-5, at Bowling Green State University. Winter games include basketball, basketball skills, competitive cheerleading and swimming tournaments for athletes, as well as Unified Sports and Healthy Athletes programs.
