Girls basketball NBC league honors posted

David Bringman, the Northern Buckeye Conference commissioner, has announced the following honors for three Rossford High School girls basketball players. Senior guard Katie Glowacki, senior guard Kiersten Johnson and freshman guard Scarlett Williams were named Honorable Mention.

The Rossford High School varsity wrestlers competed at the Northern Buckeye Conference championship meet February 19 at Elmwood High School. The championship this year went to Lake with a team score of 133 points. It was the first league title for the Flyers since 1969.

Boys basketball league honors announced

David Bringman, the Northern Buckeye Conference commissioner, has announced the following honors for five Rossford High School boys basketball players. Senior Ben Morrison and junior Derek Vorst were named First Team. Juniors Brenden Revels and Jake Morrison earned Second Team.

Students qualify for BPA state leadership conference

Several Rossford High School students are among 60 Penta Career Center students who have qualified for the Business Professionals of America state leadership conference after earning top awards at the regional contest held January 19 at the University of Toledo.

On February 12, Rossford High School hosted the Jim McCumber Wrestling Invitational, formerly known to wrestling fans as “the RIT.” Teams from across the area were represented in the tournament that featured some of the finest wrestlers in the state.

Girls basketball defeats Maumee, 49-25, for third consecutive win

Last Saturday night, the Rossford High School girls varsity basketball team defeated Maumee, 49-25 at the George G. Wolfe Fieldhouse. It was the Bulldogs’ third consecutive victory and their fourth in the past five games, with the only loss a closely contested game against Eastwood.
