Bulldogs ice Polar Bears 70-45 in sectionals

The Rossford boys basketball team defeated Toledo Woodward, 70-45, in the first round of the sectional tournament last Tuesday at Genoa High School. In a game that forced some inventive lineup changes, the Bulldogs overcame some adversity to eventually pull away from the Polar Bears.

Volleyball clinics start April 19

The Rossford High School volleyball team and coaching staff will host skills and drills clinics on Tuesdays, starting April 19, from 5 to 6:30 p.m., for current first through sixth grade students. Clinics are at the high school. Cost is $30.

Girls basketball NBC league honors posted

David Bringman, the Northern Buckeye Conference commissioner, has announced the following honors for three Rossford High School girls basketball players. Senior guard Katie Glowacki, senior guard Kiersten Johnson and freshman guard Scarlett Williams were named Honorable Mention.

District to pay for training of substitute bus drivers

Rossford Schools is still seeking substitute bus drivers and will pay for training. According to Tamara Meehan, transportation supervisor, candidates will be paid for up to 28 hours of training at the sub driver rate of $20 per hour.

RHS defeats Genoa, 58-29, in season finale

The Rossford varsity boys basketball team put forth another dominating defensive effort en route to a 58-29 thrashing of Genoa in the regular season finale at George G. Wolfe Fieldhouse last Friday night.

Schuler and Wilson each earn NBC league wrestling titles

The Rossford High School varsity wrestlers competed at the Northern Buckeye Conference championship meet February 19 at Elmwood High School. The championship this year went to Lake with a team score of 133 points. It was the first league title for the Flyers since 1969.

Boys basketball league honors announced

David Bringman, the Northern Buckeye Conference commissioner, has announced the following honors for five Rossford High School boys basketball players. Senior Ben Morrison and junior Derek Vorst were named First Team. Juniors Brenden Revels and Jake Morrison earned Second Team.

Girls basketball team loses in sectionals first round to Lima Bath, 54-32

The Rossford girls varsity basketball team lost in the first round of sectionals to the Lima Bath Wildcats, 54-32, last Wednesday night at Patrick Henry High School.

Students qualify for BPA state leadership conference

Several Rossford High School students are among 60 Penta Career Center students who have qualified for the Business Professionals of America state leadership conference after earning top awards at the regional contest held January 19 at the University of Toledo.
