Vincent H. (Vince) Langevin, age 89, of Rossford, passed away on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at Bay Park Hospital in Oregon, with his family by his side.
He was born on October 19, 1935, in Toledo, to William and Hilda (Hohl) Langevin. Vince was a 1953 graduate of Rossford High School. He then served in the U.S. Coast Guard from 195355. He also was a graduate of Bowling Green State University.
He married Agnes Palka on May 18, 1957. Together they raised three children. Vince was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
Vince had many jobs over the course of his lifetime. He was a teacher, a banker and a commercial real estate salesman, and most notably, the administrator for the City of Rossford. Vince loved his
community and was actively involved in making Rossford a better place. He volunteered his time on many committees for All Saints Catholic Church as well.
Upon retirement, Vince could be found working in his yard or spending time with his family. He was affectionately known as “Happy Grandpa” to his great-granddaughter, Dottie.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Chris (Rick Kersting) Langevin, Joyce (Rich) Almester, Vincent (Richard Davies) Langevin; grandchildren, Ben Almester and Dana Leck; great-granddaughter, Dorothy Leck; brother, Mike (Judy) Langevin, and sister, Tina Lingenfelder, along with many nieces and nephews.
Vince was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Agnes, and brothers, Bill and Tom Langevin.
In accordance with Vince’s wishes, his body was donated to the Anatomical Donation Program at UT/MC. There will be a Mass in his memory at All Saints Catholic Church, 628 Lime City Road, Rossford, on Saturday, October 25, at 11 a.m. The family will receive guests in the church narthex from 10 to 11 a.m.
