Pamela A. (Ross) Waypa, a beloved member of the Rossford community, passed away on June 8, 2023, in Toledo, at the age of 79. She was born on June 27, 1943, in Toledo, to Alden Ross and Virginia (Pawlicki) Ross. Her departure leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Pamela graduated from Woodward High School in 1961. On April 4, 1964, in Toledo, she married John J., and he survives. Pamela worked for AAA in Toledo for four years and then spent time as a full-time homemaker raising her children. She later worked for Rossford High School in the cafeteria for 21 years, before retiring in 2000.

In her leisure time, Pamela loved to travel. Their vacation home in the Smoky Mountains was her home away from home. She also embarked on exciting cruises, creating lasting memories with John and friends. Pamela was a devout member of All Saints Catholic Church in Rossford.

Family held a special place in Pamela’s heart. She adored spending time with her nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Stuffing them with her love of cooking was one of her favorite joys. Pamela’s love story with her husband, John, was one for the ages. Having met while working at AAA, their connection blossomed into a 59-year-long marriage filled with unwavering devotion. Together, they were inseparable, resembling two peas in a pod. You would rarely find one without the other.

In addition to her loving husband, John; she is survived by her children, Michele (Ed) Mikonowicz, Lori (Scott) Swartz, Trisha (Bobby) Semler; grandchildren, Jeff (Ashley) Kiel, Ryan Kiel, Sarah (Jake) Bowman, Kelly Mikonowicz, Kyle Mikonowicz, Sammi Mikonowicz, Katie Semler, Ashley Semler, Jack Semler; great-grandchildren, Logan, Colton and Leah Bowman. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Family and friends were received on Sunday, June 11, from 1 to 6 p.m., at Sujkowski-Walker Funeral Home, 830 Lime City Road, Rossford. Additional visitation was on Monday, June 12, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass at 10:30 a.m. at All Saints Catholic Church, 628 Lime City Road, Rossford. Interment followed at Fort Meigs Union Cemetery, Perrysburg.
