Martha Joanne Bielski, age 84, of Burt Lake, Michigan, passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2025, surrounded by her loving family, into the arms of her Savior, our Lord Jesus Christ. Martha is reunited now with her husband, the love of her life, Chief Ronald E. Bielski and their two golden retrievers, Lucky and Cica.
Martha was born in Toledo, on April 20, 1940, to William G. Brossia and Mary B. (Wolf) Brossia. She attended grade school at Lime City School, Glenwood Junior High School and was a 1958 graduate of Rossford High School.
Martha married her sweetheart, Ronald Bielski, on August 1, 1959, and celebrated 60 years of marriage together. Their legacy together leaves three children, five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
After graduation, Martha worked at Sears Roebuck until she and her husband, Ron, started raising a family. Martha was a familiar face to many as Accounts Payable, Permits and Zoning for the City of Rossford.
Martha loved sewing and was an accomplished seamstress, starting at a very young age. She also was an accomplished painter, especially enjoying painting flowers and landscapes. She enjoyed outdoor activities such as gardening, camping, fishing and rock-hunting with Ron. Martha enjoyed being retired with her husband, Ron, traveling fulltime with their Airstream Club.
Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Bielski; her parents, William and Mary Brossia and many cousins, aunts and uncles.
She is survived by her children, Deborah (John) Kobylak, Christopher (Janice) Bielski and Kathleen (Michael) Goodman; grandchildren, Sarah (John) Scherley, Brittany (Jared) Kobylski, Spencer Kobylak, Ashley (Adam Cooley) Goodman, Austin (fiancé Emeley) Goodman, and great-grandchildren, Jack Scherley, Levi Scherley, Cade Scherley, Jonah Kobylski, Stella Kobylski, Lily Kobylski, Brynlee Goodman, Adalynn Goodman and Aiden Cooley. Also surviving are her siblings, William Brossia, Rosemary (Thomas) King, Eugene Brossia and Arnold (Barbara) Brossia, and sisterin-law, Sharon Bohner. Services for Martha have taken place. She was honored with a Funeral Mass on Tuesday, April 1, at All Saints Catholic Church, 830 Lime City Road, Rossford. Interment took place at Fort Meigs Union Cemetery.
