Helen Antionette (Durco) Proch

Helen Antionette (Durco) Proch, born June 4, 1933, in Rossford, passed away at her home on April 14, 2024, in Littleton, Colorado. Helen was the daughter of Anthony J. and Henrietta (Wojton) Durco. She married Eugene Proch in Rossford, on October 17, 1953, and they enjoyed 51 years of marriage together, moving to Colorado in 1972.

Helen is survived by her daughters, Marlene (Jim) Lee, Fair Oaks, California; Joyce (Greg) Osland, Ft. Collins, Colorado; Sharon (Keith) Motzner, Centennial, Colorado; Angela (Brian) Janes, Kiowa, Colorado, and Niki (John) Gleason, Littleton, Colorado. She also is survived by 23 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; her brother, Joseph (Carol) Durco, Littleton, Colorado; sister, Joanne Susan McVicker, Bellingham, Washington, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Helen was known by all for her compassion, bright outlook, giving nature, beautiful smile and infectious laugh. She loved and accepted everyone for who they were, wherever they were in their life journey. Helen always had a kind word for everyone, a reflection of her very kind heart. Throughout her life, family came first. She was the consummate Π

cheerleader and nurturer, encouraging each of her daughters to pursue their passions, whether it was piano, ballet, singing, drawing or another talent. She fostered the combined Polish and Ukrainian family backgrounds by encouraging her daughters to learn Ukrainian dancing and decorate pysanky (Ukrainian Easter eggs) and to bake traditional eastern European foods. She was an incredible seamstress who loved reading and watching Hallmark movies. She could rival the best with her prowess in just about every variety of word puzzles.
