Danny J. Craig, age 64, of Rossford, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 7, 2025. Born in Toledo, Danny lived a life defined by love, generosity and unwavering devotion to his family.

A proud and active father and grandfather, Danny found his greatest joy in the lives of his children and grandchildren. Whether coaching their sports teams or cheering from the sidelines, he was always present, always encouraging and always proud. His involvement extended beyond the field, as he was a devoted member of All Saints Catholic Church during the years his children were growing up. His faith and service were cornerstones of his life.

Danny deeply loved his wife, Alice, with unwavering devotion. Their partnership was the heart of his world, and he cherished every moment they shared.

He also was known for his incredible cooking, delighting family and friends with his famous tacos, homemade pierogies and beloved apple crisp. His kitchen was a place of warmth, laughter and full hearts.

He spent many years in the grocery industry, where his deep knowledge and passion eventually led him to achieve his dream of owning his own meat market, Dan’s Finest Meats, which he proudly ran for six years.

Danny was the planner and heart behind countless family vacations, especially those spent by the beach. These trips became treasured traditions, filled with joy, laughter and unforgettable memories.

Those who knew Danny will remember him as selfless, loving and giving. He lived not for himself, but for others—always ready to lend a hand, share a meal or offer a kind word. To know Danny was to love him. His legacy is one of compassion, commitment and deep love for his family.

He is so deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Danny is survived by his loving wife of more than 43 years, Alice Craig; children, Jennifer Hurlbert, Mandy (Jason) Smolenski, Daniel (Lauren) Craig, Michael Craig; grandchildren, Maxwell, Levi, Brynn, Brody, Avery, Ellery, Blair, Theo, Sadie; mother, Carolyn Craig; siblings, Larry (Teresa) Craig, Kathy (John) Ganues; many nieces and nephews, and countless extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Danny Craig Sr.; siblings, Jimmy Craig, Jerry Craig and Ron Craig; and parents-in-law, Benny and Theresa Stachowicz.

Friends and family are invited to gather on Thursday, June 12, from 2 to 8 p.m., at Sujkowski-Walker Funeral Home, 830 Lime City Road, Rossford. A Mass will take place on Friday, June 13, at All Saints Catholic Church, 628 Lime City Road, Rossford, beginning at 11 a.m. Burial will be private.
