Joseph L. Montz, 48, of Rossford, passed away at his home on Saturday, February 7, 2026. Joe was born on February 11, 1977, in Oregon, Ohio, to Alvin and Margaret (Mazur) Montz. He graduated from Rossford High School in 1995 and worked in the culinary industry as a manager at Pizza Hut, before serving as a cook and transport driver for Trilogy Health Services.

Joe loved building Legos and spending Saturday evenings watching movies with his dad while enjoying a bag of popcorn. He had a caring heart and loved taking care of others, including his family, friends and especially the residents at Genoa Retirement Village. Joe was a past worthy president and current member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 2322 and a lifelong member of All Saints Catholic Church.

Joe is survived by his father, Alvin; sister, Diana (Boyd) Watts; nephew, Christopher; niece, Jessica; along with his uncle, Chester (Sandie) Montz. He was preceded in death by his mother.

The Funeral Mass was held Thursday, February 12, at All Saints Catholic Church. Interment was in Ft. Meigs Union Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to help cover unexpected funeral expenses in Joe’s honor.
