Rossford Public Library offers the following programs and events.•The library’s fall early literacy groups will begin on September 8.•Storytime for ages 4 through 6 will be offered Mondays, at 6 p.m., September 8 through October 27.•The 1-2-3 Read groups will meet Tuesdays, at 6 p.m.

The 22nd annual Wood County Living History Day Presented by DACOR Internet Services will be held Sunday, August 31, at 2 p.m., on the Wood County Museum grounds, 13660 County Home Road in Bowling Green, Ohio. Local residents will portray historic citizens of Wood County.

Perrysburg Twp. food distribution

The Perrysburg Township food distribution will be held Thursday, September 11, from 8 to 10 a.m.The township fire department will sponsor the food give-away at the township building, 26609 Lime City Road, the second Thursday of each month.

Red Cross to hold Peanuts themed blood drives

The American Red Cross asks donors to give blood or platelets now to help maintain a healthy blood supply.Donors of all blood types, especially those with types O positive and B negative blood, are asked to make an appointment to keep lifesaving blood products ready the moment patients need them.

Northwest Ohio field report from Ohio Division of Wildlife

During the 2024-25 white-tailed deer hunting season, State Wildlife Officer Matt Smith, assigned to Huron County, received a Turn In a Poacher (TIP) report regarding an unlawfully harvested buck. Officer Smith determined that the buck was unlawfully game checked by someone other than the hunter.
