Penta Career Center ‘Cruise-In’ draws largest crowd yet

On October 4, Penta Career Center hosted its 12th Cruise-In car show at the Perrysburg Township campus. The decision to reschedule it from the previous week due to inclement weather proved a wise choice as clear skies and mild weather drew a large crowd.

BGSU to host activities for partial solar eclipse

Next year, much of northwestern Ohio will be in the direct path of a once-in-alifetime total solar eclipse. Ahead of the momentous event, the region will experience a partial eclipse on Saturday, October 14, and Bowling Green State University is holding free community activities, including a viewing session.

Halloween parade to be held October 29

The Rossford recreation department and Rossford Business Association (RBA) will hold their annual Halloween parade on Sunday, October 29. Residents are encouraged to support the RBA as funds are raised for entertainment in the parade, competition prizes and other activities.

The Grand Rapids Arts Council will host a Harvest Moon Gala on Sunday, October 15, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., at Nazareth Hall, 21211 West River Road. The fund-raising event includes a sit-down dinner prepared by the Nazareth Hall chef, a silent auction, door prizes, 50/50 raffle and entertainment.
