Dueling pianos event to benefit the Cocoon

The Cocoon, Wood County’s only comprehensive domestic and sexual violence agency, will host a dueling pianos fund-raiser on Friday, November 3. The event will run from 7 to 11 p.m., at Stone Ridge Golf Club in Bowling Green.

St. Tim’s Discovers series opens Nov. 5

St. Tim’s Discovers, a music recital series based at St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church in Perrysburg, opens the 2023-24 season on Sunday, November 5, at 3 p.m., with a performance in honor of the series founder, Dr. Doug Neckers. The inspiration for this year’s first concert was created by area musicians Merwin Siu and Nancy Lendrim, both of the Toledo Symphony Orchestra.

Woodcarver’s show set for Oct. 27-28

Nominations open for state fire service, hall of fame awards

The Ohio Department of Commerce’s Division of State Fire Marshal and the Ohio Department of Public Safety’s Division of EMS has opened their nominations for the annual Ohio Fire Service Hall of Fame and Fire Awards ceremony. The event will honor recipients April 24, at the Center of Science and Industry (COSI) in downtown Columbus.
